About Us

The Dialogue and Difference Project aims to promote cultural, political, and social understanding through the process of community dialogue participation.

The project has been consistently working throughout the George Mason University community to bring faculty, students, and residents together to engage in effective dialogue surrounding some of the most controversial issues currently faced in global, national, and local communities.

It is our goal to develop a dialogue community at George Mason University for those students, faculty, and local residents desiring to be involved in promoting communication through understanding one another’s socio-cultural perspectives.

We hope you join us at our events and witness first-hand the intricate beauty involved in the art of dialogue.

Participation in the program is open to all members of the Mason community (students, faculty and staff, and the community).

“Dialogue and deliberation are dynamic processes which can be empathy-enhancing, relationship-changing, problem-solving, action planning, organization-developing, community-building, conflict-resolving, skill developing, prejudice reducing, consciousness-raising, and more!” – The National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation, Inc.
